Ir. Ts. Leong as the principal director of SSL will provide specialist input at the highest level and will be the director responsible for the project. Ir. Ts. Leong has over 35 years of experience in the development and application of fire science and engineering technologies.
Ir. Ts. Leong has vast experience on the interpretation of the local fire codes, the Uniform Building By-Laws 2021 (UBBL 2021) and the interaction procedures with the fire authority (JBPM). He can provide the much-needed re-engineering input and technical review of the proposed fire protection services so as to ensure optimization of the cost-effective intent of our services.
During his 35 years of involvement in the fire protection industry, Ir. Ts. Leong has joined and contributed his knowledge and expertise to various fire related institutions such as the Malaysian Fire Protection Association, Institution of Fire Engineers (UK), Institution of Engineers Malaysia and the Institute of Masters in Disaster and Emergency Management. Ir. Ts. Leong holds a UK Honour Degree in Mechanical Engineering and also Master’s Degree in Emergency Response and Planning. He is also a practicing professional engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and professional technologist with the Malaysia Board of Technologist.

Mahmut Horasan is the Associate Fire Engineer in SSL. He has been involved in fire risk engineering research, education and consultancy since 1989. Before his involvement in fire safety engineering consulting, Mahmut was a senior lecturer at Victoria University, Australia.
Mahmut has been involved in more than 1000 fire safety engineering assessments varying from large shopping complexes to exhibition centres, airports centres, tunnels, sporting facilities, multi storey office buildings, hospitals, residential apartment buildings and clubs.
His specific areas of interest include performance-based fire engineering techniques, probabilistic risk assessments, human behavior in fires and behavioral simulation modelling of evacuations.

Russell Kilmartin is the Associate Fire Engineer in SSL. He has been involved in the building and construction industry for over 33 years and more specifically in fire and risk engineering research, education and consultancy since 1998.
Russell’s extensive experience in the field of fire safety engineering consulting includes qualitative and quantitative fire risk assessments, preparations of Fire Safety Engineering Briefs and assessment reports and master planning on fire safety strategies for large infrastructure projects.
Russell is also a professional independent third-party peer reviewer. He has been involved in independent peer review services in relation to fire safety engineering projects across Australia, South East Asia and Middle East.
Russell major specialty involves reviewing plans and fire safety strategy, modelling simulations and setup, preparing documents and the main person in handling presentation with the local fire authority.

Peter is the Associate Director of Fire and Life Safety in SSL. He is registered as fire safety engineer with JBPM. Peter has over 35 years of experience in fire protection and fire safety engineering consultancy.
Peter used to be the Senior Vice President for Jensen Hughes responsible for their Asian operations. Major fire and life safety projects he had worked on while working in Jensen Hughes include but not limited to Marriott Chinese Hotel Fire & Life Safety Audits, PNB 118 Office and Hotel Tower in Kuala Lumpur, Signature Tower Kuala Lumpur, Qantas Hangar Audits - Australia, Universal Studios Beijing, Jewel Changi Airport, Kemaman Bitumen Company and Studio City Stage 2 Casino Macau.
As he the main fire safety engineer in SSL, he is responsible in giving technical advice and recommendation regarding in fire and safety engineering for Malaysian project.
